Notice Board

There is probably nothing more inspiring than to be in a foreign destination new and perhaps unusual scenes and subjects to photograph. Deciding what kit to travel with can determine the success of your travel photography. If the ultimate photographic image quality is what is aimed for it may not be possible to avoid carrying heavy equipment but travelling with such equipment may limit your options in some instances.

When choosing your destination it helps to do as much research as possible as planning will always help to improve the chances of you returning home with the photos you had in mind.

In todays world it is easy to take a flight to your chosen destinations. However, despite the number of available airlines security concerns place greater limitations on what can be travelled with as hand luggage and it can become a major challenge trying to pack your camera kit.

This section will discuss (in general terms) how some of the photos shown on this website were achieved and the type of equipment used to produce them.

Most of the photos on this site were shot in South East Asia but the topics discussed applies to any other destination (unless otherwise stated). The collection of photos and destinations featured will grow over time.

"Photography is a life passion - but don't live it through the lens." EA (2 August 09)
